I think it’s ironic how we all vow to lose 25 pounds in the New Year, and then come January 1, we’re hung over and continuing the same bad habits.  Or is that just me?  This year, I’m going to lose weight with [1] MomsCharlotte.com.  Will I see you there?  [2] momscharlotte.com • View topic - Are you in? Also, mark your calendars for JAN. 10, when they’ll host a kickoff party at the Morrison YMCA from 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m.You do not have to be a Y member — they are opening the Y for all of us to use! The Y staff will conduct health assessments to help you set realistic goals, teach us exercises we can do at home and even with our kids and show us a few new recipes for healthy eating.

[switching gears]As for my other resolutions…well, I’ve already realized one of them:  this blog.  Another?  I’d really like to get out of these pajamas and go to an office for a few hours a day!  It’s really difficult for me to separate work and family as I step through the doorway of my home office.

The type of job I want?  Since I’m eternally trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, I’ll leave it open.  Something in communications, which was my major at [3] Florida International University.

My remaining  resolutions are as follows:

1.  have more fun

2.  start writing a book

3.  live more in the moment

6.  pick up the guitar again and take lessons with Spiderman
